It is with a heavy heart we are announcing the passing of one of our founding members, Chief Lindsey (Steve) Dempsey. Steve committed over 50 years to the Hartwood Volunteer Fire Department, serving not only the citizens of Hartwood but all of Stafford County. Steve Dempsey was one of the most respected leaders in the Stafford Fire and Rescue community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, Steve will never be forgotten!!! As details become available for his service, we will announce them here.
